Since becoming Managing Partner of David Howard in 1996, we have grown the firm from a single seven-person office to a regional multi-office practice that now advises businesses across the South East. I’ve always viewed the firm as an extended family and developing people matters to me. Three of our four Equity Partners joined us straight from school or university and have grown their entire careers here. Together we’ve grown a business built on long-term relationships, high standards and work clients trust. 

I lead the firm’s business development strategy, with a focus on outsourced finance and accounting services. Regular communication, proactive support and ongoing commercial insight help us build strong and lasting client relationships. Alongside leading the firm, I continue to work hands-on with clients. Staying in contact with clients keeps me connected to current business challenges and the commercial pressures shaping their decisions. 

Before joining David Howard, I trained with a top 10 audit firm before moving into mid-tier practices. This experience, working across a range of practices and with many clients at different stages of growth, has shaped my understanding of the challenges business owners face as companies expand and evolve. I have always been passionate about how we can best help clients of all different sizes and types to understand their options and pathways.

Outside work, hockey has been a constant throughout my life. For over 50 years I've played for Sunbury and Walton Hawks. Today I serve as Treasurer, Committee member and colts coach. I am passionate about bringing sport to young people, and also keeping adults playing for as long as physically possible! Away from the pitch, I still manage to find time for a variety of other sports – snowboarding, cycling, paddleboarding and golf to name a few. When I slow down, it’s usually over good food and drink with friends and family.
